La Vida Knit Top
Description
The La Vida Knit Top draws inspiration from Carlos Luna’s artwork and belief systems, focusing on the duality of life and death. Represented by “LA VIDA” (Spanish for Life) on the chest and “LA MUERTE” (Spanish for Death) on the back, the design reflects Luna’s belief that life and death are two parts of the same cycle. The inversion of “La Muerte” as “ETREUM AL” conveys the understanding that while life moves forward through time, death calls to us from the unseen “other side.” The placement of LIFE on the chest represents our journey forward, while DEATH written in reverse on the back serves as a reminder of the unknown space from which death beckons.
